The MX Merchant Terminal API is a different API from our Checkout API. It allows merchants to interact with terminals and make transactions on those terminals. The system supports terminals from multiple providers.
The MX Merchant Terminal API does use the same authentication method as our Checkout API. The API needs to be authenticated using JWT.

Some Quick Terms
Terminal: an electronic device that processes card payments; including credit and debit cards via touchpad, swipe, tap and/or chip reader.
Transaction: a process of debiting or crediting a currency against a payment method.
Provider: the organization that issued the terminal.
Gateway: the entity that performs a transaction.
