MX Merchant Release (July 30, 2024)

MX Merchant

This release, which will be pushed to the production environment on August 6, 2024 will include the following:

New Features

  • Pipe and Passport Integration via MXM: The integration between Pipe and Passport now ensures that all merchants accepting an offer from Pipe have a Passport account. If a merchant does not have an active Passport account, they are guided through the setup and activation process. This integration simplifies the user experience by streamlining the account verification process, ensuring a smooth transition into the Pipe flow. The system also includes enhanced routing and redirection mechanisms, ensuring timely access and proper account synchronization.

  • SMS Pin Debit Support: Support for SMS Pin Debit has been integrated, along with enhancements for EBT and Pin Debit transactions. This includes updates to the payments grid, transaction and batch reports, and APIs, allowing comprehensive support for various tender types. Additionally, new features like Balance Inquiry for EBT transactions have been added, improving the functionality and versatility of the system. These changes have undergone thorough QA and real-world testing to ensure a smooth experience for users.

Enhancements

  • MX Invoice - Invoice Receipts After Approval: Customers will now automatically receive a receipt via email or SMS when they make a payment against an invoice. This applies to both partial and full payments, providing immediate confirmation and reducing manual processing. The update ensures that customers are promptly informed of their payment status, enhancing customer satisfaction and trust.

  • MXA TSYS COMP Ledger Codes Update Spring Release 2024: In response to the Card Brands 2024 Spring Compliance Release, new COMP ledger codes have been created to support the updated fee structure. These changes ensure accurate recognition and reporting of new fees within the MXA COMP system. The update improves transparency and accuracy in commission reports, providing merchants with clear and precise fee information.

  • MX Advantage: Admin Fee: A new "Admin Fee" program has been implemented, allowing merchants to charge a percentage fee on all card transactions, including debit and credit cards. This fee is applicable in card-not-present environments and is integrated into various transaction types. The program can be managed at the partner level, providing flexibility and control over fee implementation. This addition helps merchants manage processing costs more effectively.

Fixes

  • TenderType in QuickPay Does Not Match the Selection in the Payment Settings Page: The issue where QuickPay displayed all tender type options regardless of the payment settings has been resolved. Now, the TenderType options correctly align with the selections made on the payment settings page, ensuring consistency and accuracy in the payment process.

  • Clicking on Recurring Contract Logs the User Out of MXM: An issue causing users to be logged out when selecting a specific contract has been fixed. Now, selecting any contract correctly directs the user to the contract details without causing any unexpected logouts.
